Adrian Crook & Associates has just finished its seventh year in business. Fittingly perhaps, we’ve got a case of The Seven Year Itch.
What that means is changes are afoot. Positive changes.
AC&A started out small – a one man band, to be exact. Most consultancies never escape this phase, but we were lucky enough to “scale,” as they say. Now we have numerous Associates around the world, each a specialist in their own area of game design.
I’m thrilled to announce that last year was our best year ever. We continued to deliver industry-leading freemium mobile design to our clients, while taking some initial steps into work-for-hire game development on selected projects. We also reached a new market in South East Asia and witnessed its potential first hand.
So why would we change a thing? If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Right?
Well, what got us to where we are now, won’t get us to where we want to go.
Our vision for AC&A is a company that’s at the leading edge of employing game design to achieve positive results – not just in games, but beyond. Yousaw a bit of this in our Oculus Rift oil spill project, where we used our expertise to share our environmental values.
You’ll see us investing more in our people and processes, to better serve our clients. To this end, we’ve brought on core project management and production personnel over the last month, to improve our client care.
We’re also rolling out a new lifetime client program. Meaning once you’re a client of AC&A, you’re always a client. You’ll receive special strategic reviews with Adrian and our Associates, among other benefits. Look for an email with additional information in March.
All that said, we’re just getting started. We’ve got a strategic plan for the next five years that’s beginning to come into focus. But with all this change, one thing remains as true today as it’s always been and always will be: we’re dedicated to providing the world’s best game design solutions and internal education to our clients.
