Remote work, project contracts
The crew at AC+A is expanding! We are looking for solopreneurs, rogues, outside-the-box thinkers with heaps of mobile social game design expertise. Our Associates are entrusted with owning the client relationship fully and have to be knowledgeable and professional enough to deliver tough feedback, constructively.
As the craft of game design has evolved, it’s no longer enough for a designer to merely “make it fun.” AC+A designers deliver solid game design and product management expertise that directly improves the KPIs of our clients’ titles. The most common issues we’re brought in to solve are poor monetization and retention, so being able to recommend creative, engaging-for-the-player solutions to these issues is critical. We’re also asked to conceptualize games for clients from scratch, so we have to “blue sky” it as well as being micro.
Our Associates are senior designers with strong product management tendencies. They go beyond merely knowing the terms “funnel analysis” and “conversion rate.” Our Associates want the freedom of working from anywhere, managing their own time and schedule and touching many different projects in a year. We don’t consult because we’re “between jobs” – we do it because we love the lifestyle, we learn more about our craft, meet great people, and have more fun. If you’d rather be judged solely on your quality of your work – not face time with the boss, water cooler chit chat or who you drink with after work – then this might be the gig for you.
Our Associates run the gamut from world travelers to parents wanting to be home for their kids. The common thread is that they’ve turned their back on the 9 to 5 deathmarch. So if you need the security of a steady salary and an office, keep looking. We aren’t looking to woo you out of office life – that’s a decision you’ve already made for yourself.
Lastly, our Associates are able to continue doing work for themselves. So that side project? Keep doing it! Maybe some of us can even pitch in! Or that client you’ve had since you started out on your own? Go ahead and keep working with them.
Our #1 criteria is that you’re the very best at what you do. If this sounds like you, please get in touch!
